Need a sweet treat but not all the guilt? This recipe is your go to for the chocolate indulgence. 

1 Serving: 307 Calories | Protein: 11g | Fats: 16g | Carbs: 37g

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 medium eggs
  • 4 tbsp carob extract
  • 2 tbsp melted coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup whole-wheat flour
  • 10 g baking powder
  • 2 tbsp of cocoa powder

For sauce:

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 30 g unsweetened chocolate

PREPARATIONS

  • For the sauce, mix all the ingredients in a small saucepan and cook until it boils. Remove the boiling sauce from the heat and set the sauce aside to cool.
  • Put all the liquid ingredients for the cake in a mixing bowl and whisk until completely mixed.
  • Add the dry ingredients by sieving them over the liquids and fold them until you get a homogeneous mixture.
  • Pour the cake mix on a greased tray and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 35 minutes.
  • After the cake is baked, poke holes with a fork and slice. Pour the cooled sauce on the hot cake and let it sit until the cake has completely absorbed the sauce.
